Vocal production, final mix and prep for mastering
I met Peter during 50/90 2021 and was blown away by his vocals, melodic fluidity and the tremendous sense of playfulness in his music. It probably helps that we’re both dads with young families—I could totally relate to a lot of the lyrics in this album!
I took Peter’s vocals, drums and instrumental tracks and tried to give them a modern pop sheen, whilst retaining a bit of their natural indie DIY vibe. I’m really proud of the consistency and overall cohesiveness of this one.

I was lucky enough to do some production—mixing vocals/acoustic guitar, adding a load of synths—on this gorgeous track. I also enlisted the talents of my good friend, Fareed Sahloul, who laid down some epic, echoing lead guitar.

Alyssa Womack (aka QuothTheLlama) sent me a rough demo with vocals and guitar parts. There was something really compelling about the vibe of the demo, which I didn’t want to lose. So rather than build the track from scratch I layered on a tonne of beats, synths, guitar and backing vocals. Hope you enjoy the resulting track!
